Question:
What is the Child Victims Act?
Answer:

The Child Victims Act is a law that was recently passed that gives victims of child abuse an opportunity to file claims, even if they happened 30 to 50 years ago. If you’re over the age of 55, you have until August 20, 2020 to file a claim. If you’re under 55, you have until you’re age 55 to file this claim. It’s important that, if you have a claim that’s older, and you’re in your 50s, you have to act on this right away to make sure that it’s preserved and filed timely.
